Kimberley Hawthorne
Stephen is the senior UX designer for Arranger. Arranger is a cloud based SaaS product supporting funeral directors to deliver visual arrangement experiences to the bereaved and running their back office administration. With a genuine passion for developing effective designs which compliment the users actions and reduce friction wherever possible, Stephen produces high quality work and is efficient in idea generation through the use of effective tools such as wireframing and user journey mapping. Stephen is conscientious and proactive and always seeks to fully understand user needs before beginning to generate and develop his ideas. This is absolutely essential due to the large range of user archetypes and complex user flows within the Arranger application. Stephen works well as part of a team and independently. I can trust that Stephen will adhere to deadlines and he has the ability to independently liaise with other members of the design and development team in order to develop ideas which will work well in the application balanced with manageable development times.

I've worked with Stephen for over two years now and have always found him to be a talented and dedicated designer as well as easy going, friendly and enjoyable to work with. As the team has grown Stephen has always stepped up to provide support and guidance to new designers. His main focus is the UI & UX design for Arranger our SaaS product for funeral directors to run their business. It's a large piece of software with often complex user journeys and Stephen has done an exceptional job pushing for simplicity and consistency in the product's design. Stephen dedicates time outside of work to UX and interface design courses and brings this deep knowledge of best practices into his work. Our product team is a mixture of designers and developers working together closely and iteratively. Stephen fits right in with our culture, and is always responsive to business and technical demands without sacrificing core design or usability principles.
