Stephen Henley

Stephen is an effective and inspiring leader. He will continually challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvement within both the wider organisation and his team. He has made a great contribution to Kimberly-Clark Professional and will be missed.

This was one of the most meaningful things I did as a young man - perhaps in my life! I worked as an unpaid volunteer representative of my faith, teaching lessons and making presentations to individuals, families and larger groups. I was also served as a leader. I started off as a district leader (a district being between 6 and 8 other peers) before being a zone leader (a zone was a group of between 20 and 30 at most). Eventually, I was also an assistant to the mission president which involved supervising and leading the entire mission which at its height was about 260 in number. The majority of the missionaries belonging to my age bracket (18-21) were from 28 different countries and 28 different states of the United States. My role as a mission leader was to help train and inspire the other missionaries and to create a culture of accountability through goal setting, planning and reporting. Show less

I joined the bank from school as a junior bank officer. I was a bank teller serving the public at a counter, balancing the cash and worked in account ledgers. I sat and passed my first year Scottish Institute of Bankers exams after a term of day-release to attend the then Dundee College of Commerce. I left the bank to serve my mission in London.
