Initially started as a business development officer working to expand the network of high street insurance brokers that operated the company's proprietary software designed to deliver high risk insurance policies on behalf of Lloyds Underwriters. Rapidly promoted to Associate Director and undertook the day to day running of the business operations, as well as the liaising with both the Insurance Broker network and Insurance underwriters. Promoted to Operations Director as an intrinsic member of the team that created and launched Collingwood Insurance Company in Gibraltar.

Joined the RN in June 1987, 12 days after my 16th birthday!! Trained and served as a radar operator, as well as a seaman. Role split between being part of the team in the operations room helping to 'compile the command picture' and working on the upper deck in all weathers. Fantastic experience that I love to reminisce about (much to my family and friends dismay). Travelled the world in a ship with the best of friends and had adventures that cannot be published here!!!
