ITEC were bought out by Xerox and my previous role continues here. Responsible for solution engagement with clients to understand their IT issues and create proposals to remedy the problem. This can range from minor cloud migrations to full cloud roadmap design. One of the highlights was a UK based LLP building a roadmap to take them from their current datacentre to Azure with a 5 year plan including a hybrid backup solution. During lockdown the majority of the proposals were enabling mobile working with Teams, Intune and AAD. I am also responsible for the managing the gold partnership with Microsoft. This involves encouraging staff to gain the correct certification to complete the Microsoft competencies and also liaising with the sales staff to upsell the necessary Azure services. Show less

Designed and implemented a new highly available Azure solution for all practice web sites (1500+) across Europe, with load balancers, CDN’s and geo redundant databases. Working closely with the Digital Marketing team during the build and go live of the new setup. Invited over 3000 external staff from over 900 tenants to our intranet using PowerShell, sending custom invite emails and assigning licenses automatically. Designed and setup a Kubenetes environment in Azure for micro-services to talk to suppliers/banks and transfer and pay for invoices. Designed the initial infrastructure for an Azure based data warehouse using VPN’s and gateways to link us to external suppliers and internal databases. Setup PowerBI as a front end to the data warehouse using several gateways to expose data to the users of our 2 main tenants. Helped in the migration and re-design of our accounts system moving from a shared data center setup to a dedicated data center platform, adding extra load balancing and resiliency. Advised and designed a new security model for all Azure VMs and VNets using locked down security groups, just in time access and nested NSGs. Currently designing an automated starter/leaver process and user on-boarding for intranet access, using triggers and PowerShell. Designed a new attachment removal process moving from a custom piece of software running on Exchange 2013 to Exchange Online with Flow to remove the attachments and place in the right folder in the account system, adding extra logging and fault tolerance. Advised and implemented a migration for some websites moving from an expensively licensed CMS to an Azure hosted WordPress CMS. Implemented a PRTG monitoring solution moving from SolarWinds to monitor all in house systems, Azure websites and European services. Part of a team to rollout an SD-WAN across all 900 sites to give us one network, central management and asset intelligence. Show less
