Lead developer on a project where a deprecated e-commerce platform needed to be replaced with a modern and customized solution. During the bulk of this project, I was in charge of both the infrastructure and the software development. I also trained a digital designer how to use CSS and HTML, and integrated it with the software used for the physical printed edition of the website listings.

Core responsibilities were to be a one man full stack development team. I usually handled all aspects of the project, other than infrastructure setup, where I would work closely with the database and sysadmin teams. Working on projects that ranged from large image datasets, to small packets, many of the projects were well suited to be developed as server based software. In order to assist my sysadmin team with deployments, I was an early adopter of containerization technology, and pushed our organizations into DevOps. Based on my success internally with VTTI projects, I was able to assist other VT adjacent organizations with DevOps, infrastructure, and automation architecture. Then transition the design into a working deployment. Bringing my skill set to Kuberneties clusters, as well as smaller containerized deployments, I was able to help insure projects were able to meet deadlines. Additionally, I was the lead drone pilot for VTTI. I Lead an effort to improve drone operation safety and simplify the workflow, while ensuring accountability and proper education. Also I oversaw visiting pilots, including working with NASA, and Mid-Atlantic Aviation Partnership. Show less
