My role within the business is to assess, negotiate and place all orders for the business, while progressing processes and product design. Working for both high end domestic and high profile commercial clients, it is essential that the final product is supplied with in time and to the highest quality. Following the product through the life cycle of the supply chain helps eliminates risk and produces saving of both cost and carbon footprint. In a short period of time have already produced unprecedented savings on cost and efficiencies, with negotiations underway to save 1/3 of there most popular product. Show less

My role within the company is to evaluate invoices for potential mistakes and financial gain before being sent to one of the UKs leading insurance companies. This evolves the ability to concentrate for long periods of time, whilst thinking of both what is fair and reasonable to charge the clients inline with negotiated tariffs. This is achieved by using bespoke software and analysing various data streams. Over the period I have worked for Evander I have made increases to the sum of fifty thousand pounds added to invoices, whist detecting potential auditing mistakes. Show less

My role within the company was to manage the spend of approximately two million pounds. This included the negotiation and implementing of sub contract orders, materials, utilities, plant and machinery for shopfitting projects, factory and office buildings. Using my knowledge of materials and plant available I have the ability to progress the timescale of projects, whilst helping other departments cut cost and add value. Working to individual budgets and tight time scales I must consider cost analysis and savings using my negotiation skills. I consistently develop supplier relationships and monitor new products on the market insuring continuity of supply and supplier performance, whilst making sure they adhere to our values and safety policies. I communicate closely with different departments, helping with tender enquiries and account reconciliation. By evaluating every aspect of the company I have made considerable savings over the years. Few examples of these are halving the companies phone bill by combing all mobile and landline calls into one contract and evaluating year on year to save costs. I have presented to the board the cost savings of purchasing a generator instead of them leasing one. After purchasing, it paid for itself within two years, cutting cost on fuel, leasing and down time savings. Presenting cost saving of purchasing are own plant instead of hiring, which has once again halved the companies general spend on hire plant and also built up the companies assets. I have agreed rebate deals to the sum of 2.5-5% on skips and plasterboard suppliers who we spent in the region of 250k with. Together with consent supplier management and relationship building I have made cost savings year on year, project on project. Show less

Prepare and spray variety of materials for clients insuring quality control and working within timescale, this could require flexibility in working hours. Duties included maintains the booth, equipment and basic knowledge of COSHH I.e. storage of ingredients and protective clothing required. By working in the workshop environment it has helped build up my product knowledge and techniques. It was also enjoyable to work within a team and develop friendships.
