      This survey was a short survey to test the field capacity reserves of hydrocarbons using 2D seismic data. Located of the coast of the host nation Vietnam, challenges for this survey included localized workforce unaccustomed to health and safety regulations and vessel compliance to Origin Energy’s environmental health and safety management systems. Key components for the Client Environmental Health and Safety Representative during this survey included quay-side vessel fit-out and bunkering of marine fuel by national providers as well ensuring vessels maritime crew, adhered to their vessel management systems and that of the client by leading safety planning meetings and toolbox talks with risk assessment and method statement review and monitoring during operational activities. Tasks were halted on several occasions to ensure that both maritime crews and quay-side employees were briefed and had adopted the correct task safety controls with acknowledgement of duties and compliance with all safety operational procedures and equipment. Survey duties included initial project start-up meeting and review of the client expectations and ensuring that contractor management systems have been adopted to meet the client environmental health and safety management systems. Survey audits included project start-up and designated on-survey audits of ships management systems as well as close out audit and corrective action audit of items closed out and the balance of items to be preformed to meet contractual obligations. Duties for Client Representatives included continuous monitoring of key performance indicators set by the client for the vessel which included two stop the job safety stand-down following an injury non-work related and a operational dispute within the survey area by a nation claiming jurisdiction within the territorial waters of Vietnam. Located in the offshore blocks in Cyprus for ENI Italia and Petrom Romania, the client roles comprised of a team approach with the seismic and navigational clients preforming vessel contractual operational control roles while the environmental health and safety client ensured that health and safety targets and goals by each operator were continuously monitored and reported to shore-based senior leadership team members as well as core corporate management. Vessel accident and incidents were investigated in addition to on-board contractor maritime investigations and sub-contracted support vessels as well as main vessel were audited to international maritime standards and pollution control management systems. Survey duties also included RAMS Auditing, Accident/Incident root cause analysis with corrective action compliance auditing and environmental waste management auditing to ISO 14001 and MARPOL Regulations.
