Stephen Putland completed one week of work experience at the MFB in Melbourne (June/July 2016) in the Marketing and Communications department. He provided me valuable support in the week leading up to MFB’s 125th Anniversary Ball and on the day of the ball. He assisted with following task: - Online ticket re-allocation using eventbrite - Preparing onsite event kits - Assisting with packing and transporting event materials - Assisted with guest check in - Assisted with the bump in of a fire truck - Managed the Band and DJ and all request they had - Assisted with the silent auction - Assisted with the photo booth Stephen demonstrated a natural talent for problem solving. On several occasions on the night he was required to manage situations last minute requests and he was able to solve the requests without direction. He also demonstrated that he is a team player on the night, stepping in on several occasions to cover work stations until other staff members were available to step in.
