Identifying the value stream, developing appropriate KPI's to monitor it and utilizing lean techniques to reduce waste and improve quality.Vertical Farming is a relatively new industry with a lot of future potential for improving food quality and security whilst reducing the environmental impact of farming. While the potential is high, as a new industry there are a lot of challenges to overcome, especially from an operational perspective. Improving the operational efficiency of vertical farms is a key part of realising their future potential.
