I prepared tiger fecal samples for glucocorticoid analysis. My research examined the effects of specialized scent enrichment on Sumatran tiger behavior. Our research examined the behavior and movement of African elephants before and after a change of housing substrate from concrete to a shock-absorbent polymer. We compared the active behavior levels and the hormonal stress levels before and after the exhibit alteration. We also monitored elephant behavior and interactions throughout reproductive cycles, pregnancy, and miscarriage. I was responsible for recording live activity budgets, nightly activity budgets, and time spent sleeping using video recordings. I also compiled data for analysis. Show less
