  During the summer of 2008, I worked as a reporter for the Olympic News Service, as part of an internship program set up by the Beijing Olympic Committee. In order to be awarded this opportunity, I underwent a semester-long process including weekly classes and bi-monthly tests, culminating with interviews and debates. My position as a reporter consisted of interviewing athletes and coaches before and after their events, obtaining flash quotes, and then submitting them to the News Service's database which was used by media outlets all over the world. While conducting these interviews, I often worked as a team with translators. In addition, I attended daily press conferences and compiled highlights that I also submitted to the ONS's database.
