Working at Furniture Manufacturer T/O £20m - Responsible for providing consultancy services to an SME, rescuing a failing ERP system installation • Reduced stock losses from £1m in two consecutive years to £50k created a step by step action plan and trained staff to ensure sustainability. • Steered strategic discussion around delivery of the company’s complex buy/make procurement model. • Documented a new TOM with reduced headcount to provide stability for the Business Contracted by a Commercial Digital Printer T/O £12m to develop a 5S programme provide shopfloor measurement tools to work with plant capabilities • Trained the whole business on 5S and empowered the SLT to own the process to remove the cultural workforce divide. • Ensured that MIS shopfloor data had the correct measures to allow free reporting to show TEEP % with weekly meetings to improve from 29% to 54% across all plant (limited improvement due to staff availability) • Trained the management team to monetise production problems – an example - Machine jamming cost £43k PA as an opportunity cost was solved with a £200 piece of plant. Contracted by a Hospitality Business T/O £32m to assist the actual v forecasting of Hotel and Spa occupancy to assist supply chain team • Before this process required 36 man hours a week across departments to update and to provide a report for a weekly management meeting – this was reduced to 4 man hours a week 89% reduction in time. • Post 3 working days in the Business presented to the Board why the Integration of the Website and Hotel booking process was costing the business £250k per annum. A New system was implemented saving £120k Y1 and £200k PA Y2 onwards. Show less
