Feb 2016 - Sep 2018
Responsible for producing code and documentation for a variety of different clients. I predominantly deliver applications using Unity and C#, but I also have experience using web technologies and frameworks should the project necessitate this. As Matmi are an agency, I have the opportunity to work on a variety of different styles of project. During my time there I have been the key developer for all AR/VR/MR projects; and have worked on some R&D projects to try and push the boundaries of what is currently seen in these markets. I am also largely involved in responding to project briefs with proposals to prospective clients. I am currently responsible for putting together technical specifications & projecting timescales in order to attain sign off from clients. I am used to working to tight deadlines and have ensured my process facilitates these deadlines by writing easy to manage, extendable code.

Sep 2013 - Feb 2016
Responsible for programming across a range of immersive VR systems using proprietary software. Also delivered projects on Android & iOS, including some projects created in Unity. As part of my role I was also required to work closely with the design team to implement storyboards and design elements. In this role I mainly had to use Javascript, however I also had some hands-on experience writing shaders in GLSL. I worked on projects for CAVE Systems, ZSpace, Oculus, Google Cardboard and Vuforia AR. My role also required me to teach coding and development techniques, where I delivered courses both in Manchester and in Laval, France. This was a unique challenge and improved my ability to share knowledge in an engaging way, as the students had differing levels of prior coding experience. As part of this I was also required to assess and grade the students, as well as offer assistance within the lesson. This helped me learn how to interpret other people’s code quickly in order to identify any errors or optimisations that could be done.
