  CRT won 1st place in our class at Spaceport America Cup 2023! My separation system design won runner runner up for the Dr. Gil Moore Award for Innovation at Spaceport America Cup 2022! __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I am a member of the Cornell Rocketry Team (CRT), which competes in the annual international Spaceport America Cup (SAC). We are building a rocket to launch a payload to 10,000 ft! In 2022, I led the design, testing and implementation of the award-winning novel black powder piston separation system, which ensures safe separation of the two major rocket sections, allowing for parachute deployment and successful recovery. For this design we won runner up for the Dr. Gil Moore Award for Innovation at the 2022 SA Cup. For the 2023 competition, I designed another piston separation system which was mounted externally, and we won 1st place in our class! I am currently designing a pitot-static probe for measuring the velocity of our 2024 launch vehicle! Show less
