Apart from some managerial duties my main work involves litigation and specifically personal injury work. I have been involved with litigation for 40 years and have conducted personal injury claims throughout that time. I deal with all personal injury claims but specialise in larger more complex claims including brain injury claims, catastrophic cases and cases involving multiple injuries. I have dealt with various periodical payment cases and conventional lump sum cases. I am experienced in RTA and EL and PL claims, industrial injury, and Fatal Accident Act claims. I have successfully concluded several Mesothelioma cases including for the estate of a deceased victim of 89 years for which I obtained £100,000 in damages. I have experience of package holiday claims. Show less

As head of litigation for the firm, I have had experience of most types of litigation including crime, family (including divorce), commercial litigation, personal injury litigation and clinical negligence claims. In my role as commercial litigator I was recommended by the publication Legal 500 as an expert in Reservation of Title claims (Romalpa) which often involved emergency interlocutory injunctions, both in County Court and the High Court.

    • Articled Clerk & Assistant Solicitor
      • Mar 1975 - May 1978

I started work as an Articled Clerk which is the equivalent of a trainee Solicitor and after two years I qualified and worked as an assistant Solicitor. My early roles in litigation were mainly family work and crime with some general litigation including personal injury work. Within my criminal practice I was involved with three separate murder cases, all of which ended up as manslaughter. I was also involved in a major fraud case which ended up with a trial at Gloucester Crown Court at which the client was acquitted of all charges. Show less
