Jun 2019 - Present
As the IT Administrator for a small company, I operate the several administrative suites that our employees use to communicte, creating and destroying users and permissions based on need. I administer several Google Admin G Suite's as part of our varied range of products. Other examples include Slack, Lastpass as well as the hardware such as mobile phones and laptops. I monitor and admin several websites and the instances they run, as well as manage the domain names through several registrars such as Register365, Blacknight, GoDaddy and ionos.co.uk. In addition I create and install the SSL certificates on these sites to create HTTPS connecctions to our customers around the world. We have several websites, some on the Shopify platform, and most instances being hosted through AWS on Linux Ubuntu servers, I would create and install any updates or services the instance requires through the CLI as well as ensuring a secure and lean operating environment. DevOps Engineer
-
Dec 2017 - Aug 2018
As a DevOps Engineer my main tasks were taking bundles of changes made by Full Stack Developers who developed requested features and pushing those to the next designated environment. My role's main duty was to write scripts to integrate new code changes into the next environment, for example moving changes made in a Development Environment to a System Testing Environment. In addition, I would resolve issues and alerts created from builds that failed to compile, monitoring internal systems hosted on internal servers hosting vital services for AXA staff such as clocking systems, and public facing API channels to allow Third Party brokers to integrate with AXA systems. Dec 2016 - Nov 2017
Working as a Full Stack Developer using C# .NET Framework to develop features for our customer-facing online insurance quote system. These features would be requested by an Analyst and would provide a description and rundown of the functionality of the requested feature, my role would be replicating these requests in a test-driven development environment and resolving issues and provide additional bug fixing until the feature was pushed to a production environment. We operated an Agile environment, participating in daily standups to share our current progress and what obstacles were in our path in relation to pushing a feature.
