  Shortlisting subcontractors/suppliers/ SMEs to participate in the UNIDO SPX Uganda programme • Visiting companies and Marketing the programme to relevant suppliers/ SMEs and buyers in the country • Collecting basic technical information (raw material, machinery, product and services) using UNIDO SPX Profiling questionnaire on weekly basis • Coding and entering collected company data/information into an SPX UNIDO database. • Meeting targets in terms of number and quality of suppliers/ SMEs to be entered SPX UNIDO Database • Maintaining an updated database of all potential and participating SMEs • Identifying target buyer companies and public procurement bodies for matchmaking purposes • Linking up SMEs/ subcontractors to main buyers and collecting requests for quotations • Benchmarking (diagnosis) the suppliers / SMEs to determine where they need to upgrade in terms of products and services • Supporting SMEs /subcontractors in upgrading the quality and capacity of their products and services to meet buyer needs • Maintain confidentiality of the suppliers/ SMEs.
