Tuesday P. Brooks, MBA

Stephen and I worked together as math tutors for the Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) Promise Academy After School Program for several years. Because of Steve's natural ability to engage the children, as well as his co-workers, with stories and experiences beyond mathematics, he and I soon became friends and professional allies. Steve showed great enthusiasm and ingenuity in his quest to have students apply mathematics in practical and "real life" ways. He knew how to cater his teaching strategy to the needs of each student and took pride in their accomplishments. It was a pleasure sharing teaching successes and challenges with Steve during my time at HCZ. Steve, always the "go to" person, is a great tutor on many levels.
