  Worked in medical device company in Melbourne, Australia on a six month contract. Ingeneus is ISO 13485 accredited and produces a range of medical devices. Key roles: • Worked on over 30 design changes required for the release of the eyeConnect device, which is an telemedical ophthalmic instrument that allows a trained nurse to capture images and data; and transmit them to a qualified ophthalmologist. This device is being targeted at remote communities where it is currently impossible to diagnose conditions without the patient travelling to an eye hospital. • Compiled a test plan, performed testing and wrote supporting documentation for a new connector which is used as part of the LiVac Liver Retractor System for use during laparoscopic surgery. • Drawing updates for eyePressure, a single-use device used for measuring intra ocular pressure. Converting an existing product for use in ultra-high vacuum environments • Adhesive changes to reduce outgassing, including research into UV curing methods. • Changes in material selection (brass, plastics, etc.) Assisted in creating a new semi-automated test jig for testing components. • Assisted in the design and build of the test machine. • Designed and built an automated binning machine which sorted test units into categorised bins.
