I started at InTouch in November 2015 as a programmer and after the 6 month probation I was promoted to lead a team, of up to 8 developers in addition to developing 2D / 3D mobile gambling apps in Unity. As a lead I monitor and review the performance of my team while being a peer for code reviews across all teams. In addition to developing iOS / Android apps from concept to release, I have developed numerous prototypes for new conceptual game features. I also performed a number of audits - from client walkthroughs of my own games to completing supervised builds of applications created by other developers. Once these have been approved I manage the builds and content that is uploaded to, and released on, iTunes and Google Play stores.I have undergone, and completed, Management Development training in conjunction with Hartley Resource Development Ltd. Starting at InTouch, my sole responsibility was to develop 2D / 3D mobile gambling apps in C# using Unity, taking a concept all the way to release. The artwork and audio teams provided the required assets for implementation and development was reviewed using an Agile Scrum Methodology. In addition to working on the game logic and user interface, I implemented various server communication protocols - which alowed the apps to fetch dynamic data over HTTP.Once the app was deemed ready for release I participated in, and successfully completed, the client walkthroughs of the audit process. After my first app was completed I was given more responsibility and was asked to aid and help new and existing members of the development team. This was my placement year during my University course. When I joined I was placed within the IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) development team. I was first tasked with learning about and testing the numerous features of the product. Using Selenium I developed and ran automated tests while also completing manual tests from created user stories. The testing incorporated numerous configurations which consisted of various databases (z/OS, Oracle 11 & 12, IBM DB2) along side various browsers with differing versions (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome).
