  Half of this summer internship was spent assisting field surveyors in their critical role in the design and construction process. The other half was spent with an land development engineering team in the office, where, under the supervision of experienced engineers, I was assigned tasks such as site considerations for ADA accessibility, preliminary storm water management tasks, wet utility profiling, and sheet set quality control. I had the opportunity to assist this team with the processing and review of construction site plans, existing infrastructure monitoring and maintenance, and updating the county's utilities standards manual. In addition, I assisted the team's GIS technician with updating the authority's mapping system and locating existing infrastructures around the county using GPS tracking devices.
