Marketing & Events Manager
-
Jan 2016 - Jul 2016
As the country wide Marketing & Events Manager my primary objective was to increase visitation and brand awareness across all of the groups restaurants and bars. Working closely with the CEO, Group Operations Manager and Venue Managers of each site, I carefully managed the marketing budget to successfully bring to life a wide range of promotions & events, resulting in an increase in top line sales and heightened brand awareness. My design background allowed me to execute and bring these promotions & events to life through careful strategic planning, communicating to our database through EDM’s, social media, print and online collateral. The importance of my external relationships with customers, suppliers and key influencers soon became evident, and I thrived off the creation and maintenance of these. The management of online content including the websites and social media of each venue was an important part of my role I thoroughly enjoyed. From strategic planning, content creation and enlivening the online brands presence I embraced this opportunity to really have some fun and grow our following.Being aware of continual business development opportunities, I used my design skills and available resources to create a ‘Private dining & Special Events’ book. Available in print and online this book showcases the spaces, environments and overall offerings across the group. The use of this in print and online, provides a unique and powerful tool for revenue generation. From database management to people and relationship, organising photoshoots to styling and content creation for social media, planning promotions and events to designing and executing their collateral, I achieved, developed and learnt a lot, networking and forming relationships that will contribute to my future success.

As Brand Design Executive at Lion my responsibilities included successfully partnering the Marketing brand team along with the Sales Executives to effectively deliver to market campaigns for Lion’s Mainstream & Premium Beer Brands. In this role I developed a strong ability to quickly build successful relationships finding myself continually challenged with managing expectations, tight deadlines and fast turn arounds. The importance of being a really strong team player with a positive attitude became increasingly highlighted through my experience within the corporate world. This role allowed me to gain extensive knowledge in the FMCG marketing sector and everything I’ve learnt and continue to learn is incredibly valuable and can be carried with me throughout my career.

As the realities of University hit home, I decided i’d better get a job in order to support myself. Why get a job at any old café when I could immerse myself in a culture of success and one I really thrive off. I worked part time over my first 2 years of Uni, honing my Barista skills whilst being responsible for opening and closing the Café and making a lot of lifelong connections along the way.
