  Application development and testing on HP-UX 9000 platform using Oracle 9i-10g, PERL, PL/SQL, SQL, SQL*Loader, SQLPlus, Korn Shell, TOAD, MS Office Suite, CronTab, VISIO, FTP, SFTP, PVCS. The File Inventory System operated 24/7 handling all non-defense financial transactions whose data was contained in flat files.This system used unsecured FTP to pass files between systems and was secured by implementing SFTP.Took system from a passive one where users had to monitor log files to determine if files failed to process to a pro-active system that identified failed files and notified appropriate users via email as well as scanning logs files to notify of potential erroneous conditions requiring human diagnostics.Streamlined processing of new data files through the system by creating standard set of default data file templates to base definition of incoming/outgoing file rules.Created scripts which automated new release installation into various environments.
