I wrote several news pieces a week. The Sounds has a new issue come out every two weeks, and I always had at least two stories in every issue, at one point I had six articles I had written in one issue. I have to reach out to connect to people, set up interviews, take notes on events and presentations, and take pictures for an article. Then I usually have a week or less to write one story. I try to write each story with at least 600 words. Editing of the articles includes good communication with my newspaper staff and knowldege of AP style format, and being able to take critique.
