As an Injury Claims Associate at State Farm Insurance, I handled a large volumes of incoming correspondence in a timely manner for claims involving both attorney represented and non represented parties. I also handled large volumes of phone calls from our policyholders, claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and other vendors daily, and provided assistance with bodily injury and/or property damage/complex property damage claims after an auto loss/auto accident. I have become highly skilled in anticipating the needs of the caller, guiding policyholders and claimants through the claims process, explaining any applicable coverages, resolving any rental, repair, and claim payment issues, gathering documentation including medical bills and records from medical providers and other pertinent information that was necessary for the evaluation and processing of claims. My position required critical thinking, empathy, adaptability, strong organizational skills, great verbal and written communication skills, and great customer service which is key to solving any claim related issues. With my claims handling experience and utilization of claims handling best practices I became a resource to other employees within our department. I was readily available to answer questions, and provide guidance to newer employees as they came into the Bodily Injury Unit. As a resource within the Injury Unit, new employees were given the opportunity to “job shadow" me by sitting with me to monitor phone calls. I also gave presentations in to larger groups regarding new technologies and procedures. I provided ongoing training to employees by organizing training in a conference or training room, while I maintaining my own workload. I have claims handling experience for Arizona, California, and Alaska.

Worked as a Chemical Technician/Colorist in a fast paced and creative environment, while participating in continuous education, which allowed me to remain competitive and up to date with current hair trends and products in the ever changing beauty industry. I also completed training to become an educator for the local Toni & Guy Salons in our region. Began on the sales floor in a fast paced environment, I learned quickly and sales came naturally to me, therefore I was quickly promoted to Supervisor/Sales Trainer. During my career with Dialamerica Marketing, I provided classroom training to new hires, as well as continued coaching and motivation on the sales floor. As an effective communicator, I also coached employees through closing sales.
