Conducts detailed research into loans recently acquired or in advanced stages of Loss Mitigation to facilitate on the loan to reach the best solution for both the homeowner and investor Review of loan history, customer contact, inspection reports and financial packages to assist in reaching a decision on modifications, short sales or liquidations in support of the Loss Mitigation department Review newly acquired loans to determine the most appropriate first steps for Saxon to take in servicing the account Workout Negotiator Responsible for the proper handling of all calls related to mortgagors who have a pending workout. Approving or obtaining necessary approval for all decisions made with respect to the workout option which appears most appropriate and which is agreed to by the mortgagor. Use Mortgage Servicer and other tools to review the borrower's financial package and other documents to make the best decision for the borrower and the company and to record the result of the mitigation's conversations and analysis on the system of record. Use Mortgage Servicer, DRP and Excel and other tools to assist with the loss severity calculations and in drafting the details of the workout option recommended as applicable. Monitor the Loss Mitigation workout process through its completion, including borrower follow-up Maintain a work queue for target date and goals. Responsible for following Loss Mitigation procedures.
