The Homer Multitext project hosts groups of undergraduate students annually at the Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington DC for a two-week manuscripts and digital editing seminar. As project manager, I help facilitate the experience with the staff at CHS, communicate with participants, coordinate with seminar faculty to assist in teaching sessions, assist students with technology and content during work sessions, and promote the program through social media. The Homer Multitext projects creates and edits digital editions of Homeric manuscripts, working off of high resolution, digital photography. Research interns are responsible for the the creation and editing of these digital editions through xml markup and use of the TEI (Text Encoding Initiative) guidelines.
