It is with great pleasure that I write a letter of recommendation for Stephanie Iannone. I have known Stephanie for eleven years as a kindergarten teacher at the Brimmer and May School in Chestnut Hill, MA. Since 2013, I have been fortunate to work closely with her in my position as Assistant Head of Lower School at Brimmer. In observing Stephanie, it is easy to recognize the wonderful qualities she exhibits as an early childhood teacher: specifically, her patience, organization, in-depth knowledge of curriculum, and understanding the needs of all learners. Stephanie is kind and nurturing toward all the children in our community. She has successfully created a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning and meets the physical, emotional, social, and academic needs of each child. With a strong understanding of child development and curriculum, Stephanie clearly articulates her expectations and uses a variety of strategies to ensure student success. She demonstrates patience and fairness while supporting and encouraging the children in her classroom. Stephanie also promotes a joyful and inviting classroom for families, and she consistently facilitates parent involvement and partnership. She competently addresses all parent concerns and helps them feel more comfortable with their children’s classroom experience. Stephanie’s love of her profession is evident in everything she does. She cares deeply about each child’s education and personal development. Her classroom is not only fun and engaging, but a safe place to be valued and grow. I am delighted to recommend Stephanie for a teaching position in your school. Her experience and dedication to the teaching profession would be assets to any school environment.

I had the pleasure of teaching Kindergarten alongside Stephanie for twelve years from 2006-2018 at Brimmer and May School. During this time, I witnessed firsthand what a master teacher and kind and generous colleague Stephanie is. As a colleague, Stephanie was always willing to support and collaborate with her fellow teachers and never hesitated to share materials and ideas. It is clear that Stephanie cares deeply about her students, going above and beyond to ensure that she tailors her teaching approach to meet their diverse needs. Stephanie created a warm and welcoming classroom community, where students felt known and valued as individuals. Beautifully decorated with displays of student work, her classroom was always well organized allowing students to see themselves reflected in their environment and seamlessly access classroom materials. Stephanie collaborated with students to define clear and consistent classroom rules and routines providing her students with a sense of ease and ownership in their community. She also connected well with the families of her students and was well liked and respected by the Brimmer and May parent community.
