Completed both field and laboratory sampling at the Huntsman Marine Science Center in New Brunswick, Canada in a variety of marine environments including open ocean within the Bay of Fundy, intertidal zones, rock pools, and beaches using methods such as quadrat sampling and benthic trawling. Summer Internship

Acted as a research consultant working with architects planning coastline developments and modifications to such developments such as turtle-friendly lighting. Collected literature on the anthropogenic effects of noise on sea turtles and designed brochures for local hotels on the effects of beach maintenance on sea turtle nests. Summer Intern & Sea Turtle Nesting Program Volunteer

Assisted with tracking sea turtle nests along the coastline of Grand Cayman and recording nest data, excavating hatches nests, and caring for/releasing newly hatched green, loggerhead, and hawksbill sea turtles. Tropical Conservation Student

Completed reef surveys and assisted in the construction of artificial bio reefs and learned about sea turtle conservation at The Turtle Project in Pemuteran. Spent several days at Green School Bali learning about Balinese culture, the importance of sustainability, and how to lead a more sustainable lifestyle.
