I am collaborating with professor Aaron Williams, and professor Liz Hartung on Relayer-ing and Repositioning Gray Codes for Catalan Objects research. More specifically, I visually analyze geometric Catalan objects that can be represented by the dyck words, and create Gray codes and algorithms that detail the bijection between them. I presented this research at the Canadian Conference on Computational Geometry August 2023 and published a paper. For the past two years, I was rehired each semester to support students' learning by providing feedback on their mathematical problem solving and writing skills Calculus 1 and 2, as well as the Introduction to Proofs Through Analysis course offered at Mount Holyoke College. I provided extra assistance through student drop-in hours and individual tutoring to improve their concepts and proof comprehension. I also increased students' understanding of material and established a collaborative community for learning. Show less

    • Speaking, Arguing, and Writing Center - Mentor
      • Jan 2021 - May 2023

As a Speaking Arguing, and Writing Center Mentor I supported students' academic success by engaging collaboratively on how to best express themselves through their academic work. I would improve students' writing and arguing skills in their academic writing in a wide variety of fields by being a detail oriented, constructive, supportive, and relatable mentor.

I collaborated on a mathematical and architectural project in which I used Calatrava’s measurement and MATLAB to come up with coordinates for a uniquely shaped tent. I used 3D digital and physical modeling to best develop joints and material for the structures that were both rigid when standing but flexible to move. I presented my progress to other math, and computer science research projects on campus and wrote the beginnings of a report.

As a research collaborator, I studied and practiced the Zq math game in order to discover and prove optimal strategies for both the Blue and White player on any graph. My collaborators and I also analyzed how the Zq game’s basis in linear algebra and graph theory could broaden the application and significance of our findings.
