Stephanie worked on a number of my project teams while we were both employed by Ernst & Young. Stephanie’s primary strengths are around her technical actuarial capability, perseverance and her ability to communicate her findings – from my perspective these are highly valuable attributes. As her manager I always felt confident that I could have a discussion about the scope of work required, go over the key elements of the situation and then leave it to Stephanie to generate the solution, largely unaided. However, another of Stephanie’s strengths was her ability to recognize those rarer situations where she needed to either get a second opinion and/or clarify what was required to get through the inevitable bottlenecks encountered in working towards solutions – this ensured she never floundered for long periods. Projects where Stephanie was involved always had good momentum towards completion. She is very bright. Stephanie is a great person to have on a project team, not just because she is a top performer, but also because she is a very pleasant person to work with – always calm and considerate and ready to help out. She would be an asset to any actuarial project team.

I had the opportunity to work with Stephanie last summer and found her to be a dedicated and highly-qualified professional. Her technical skills are very strong, and she showed initiative and creativity at problem solving. In addition, she is very pleasant to work with and has great potential in our profession.
