Heather Brooks
Stephanie is sharp, dedicated and driven to make a difference in all she does. Her title doesn't even begin to reflect the impact she makes on the organization. She's a key planner of the largest revenue-generating event WSC hosts, and she's consistently innovating on it to provide the best possible attendee experience and maximize revenue. Additionally, she's the primary customer experience touchpoint for members and she collaborates with the marketing team to manage email campaigns, social media and the website. She flawlessly juggles a multitude of responsibilities and routinely adds to her skillset by learning to do new things to contribute to the organization. To that end, she brainstormed on, developed and brought a brand-new revenue-generating program to the organization that has huge growth potential. To top it off, she's a pleasure to work with! I'd love to have her on any team I was leading again.

Administrative Assistant

Dec 2017 - Apr 2019
My most exciting role so far has been helping plan our Annual Safety and Health Conference. We hosted 2,000+ attendees and exhibitors at the Kalahari Convention Center. As the hotel contact I was responsible for choosing the food, food amounts, and appropriate set up for each room prior to the event. At the event I was responsible for ensuring all plans were being followed by Kalahari staff and adjusting our plans as needed. I was the final decision maker on whether more food or coffee was needed at each meal and break. After the conference I was responsible for reviewing the Kalahari invoice to ensure appropriate charges were made. When I am not working on the conference I am the main liaison between our chapter and the National Safety Council. I prepare instructor agreements, ensure our courses are following all guidelines, and research resources for our members and customers. I am in charge of all product sales. So far this role has involved only keeping up with incoming orders. I also order appropriate materials for all of our private and onsite courses. I am responsible for answering all customer inquires regarding courses we provide as well as other certifications required by OSHA and other governing bodies. While I am new to this information I am resourceful in finding the answers. I am the staff contact with our young professionals group. I train First Aid, CPR, and AED skills to our customers and employees.
