What a ride! Started this position at the start of the pandemic. Working with a team of individuals whose main mission was to keep the Club open and accessible in these unprecedented times.- Collaborate with the United Way to help execute the Marshfield Community Fund- Secured Grant funding to support our remote learning center- Pivoted and adjusted to we could still host our fundraising events including our Golf Tournament and Turkey Trot. Two passions in one. Raising funds for an incredible non-profit and providing leadership and expertise to a pool in its 3rd summer season.- Provided supported to the Development Director to prepare for our Annual Gala. Securing sponsors and preparing for event auction. Unfortunately COVID changed those plans.- Shifted quickly once the closure mandate was announced to provide support for families in the community. Hosting community dinner drive-thrus, PPE drives, and blood drives. Secured emergency grant funding to support the business during the closure.- Successfully launched swim season including swim lessons, camp swimming, masters and lap swimming as well as community open swims after implementing COVID protocols.- Trained staff to work within very unique parameters, providing excellent services while keeping themselves and the community safe.- Exceeding all aquatics goals and prior year’s performance by over 35%.- Created informative monthly impact reports utilizing Canva and Constant Contact to keep the community abreast of the amazing things the Club was doing and the continued need for support. Built a positive and cohesive team of 100+ staff members behind common goals of a safe environment, a positive team, and an amazing product while exceeding customer expectations. Brought budget from a net deficit of -$250K to a net profit of $380K in under two years. - Worked hand in hand to help grown Powers Aquatics within the Waves swim program, serving over 1500 families on the South Shore within a rapidly growing program. - Built the confidence of the owner to invest in brand new aquatics facility, nearly doubling the programmable space. Brought the expertise and leadership to take back the management of the town pool (South Shore Country Club Pool) after 25 years of outsourcing it the YMCA. Executed a successful initial season, surpassing all expectations including budget and customer experience. Achieved highest membership enrollment in 5 years, bringing in over 350 families, and 275 program participants. Launched the Country Club Multi-Sports camp. Tennis, Golf, Swimming and fun! Dual role, full time Aquatics Director at the Quincy Branch while providing leadership and mentoring to the Hanover branch as well as two off site pools. - Provided research, support, and insight to the design, building, and launch of new pool; grew revenue by 40% hitting $700K in revenue in its initial year. - Moonlighted in the Development Department. I was always the first to raise my hands to help share the story and raise funding for our amazing non-profit. Served on various committees such as the Enchanted Evening Gala, Taste of the South Shore and the Golf Tournament. Secured donations for auction items and was a leader in the staff campaign. It might have been a tired old pool in a tired old building but had the incredible opportunity to build a thriving swimming and water safety program for the children of Quincy and the surrounding towns. Being creative and resourceful we continued to problem solve and be resourceful as we knew our brand-new state of the art facility was in the works.
