I had the pleasure of working with Steph for two years at Looka. During the two years, anything I ever needed Steph was right there to help. She goes above and beyond to ensure employee happiness and is always trying to improve it. Steph is a very hard-working, detail-oriented and organized person, which made her exceptional to work with on projects. Steph was the heart of the company while she was there, and because of her, Looka had a crazy high retention rate. The amount of care she put into the company made everyone feel genuinely valued. She consistently anticipated employee needs and created a space for employees to feel safe and cared for. During her time at Looka, Steph coordinated and managed our office move, which included managing contractors, curating furniture, designing the office and ensuring every employee need was thought through while juggling her full-time and other projects. After watching Steph crush this project, I realized Steph was a superhero employee. I am grateful I got to work with such an incredibly passionate and caring person. Any team would be lucky to have someone who truly cares like Steph.

Before working with Steph I didn't appreciate the the value that dedicated people management could have on a business. It's often difficult to quantify the capital return on a single individuals contributions to employee retention and happiness. However, it is not difficult when that individuals impact is so immensely obvious that you're pretty confident that even when times are hard, people won't leave because of that individual. That's how large Steph's impact is to an organization. Capital loss from employee turnover is a huge efficiency problem... for companies that don't have Steph.
