  I was hired as a consultant to covert 6 payroll systems to the mainframe system at headquarters. These were payroll systems from smaller companies and Norell(PeopleSoft) that Spherion had acquired and wanted to migrate to one system. After I converted the payroll systems; I became a permenant employee as a Senior Programmer Analyst. Once all the payroll systems were on the mainframe system, the coorporate systems HR, Finance and Payroll (3 separate systems) were converted to PeopleSoft. I played a large part of the conversion for the mainframe system to the PeopleSoft System. I was placed in charge of the testing of the data. I had a team of 4 and we recreated the test system pulling conversion data through an Access database and producing reporting to send back for the conversion team to fix the conversion programs. This approach saved approximately 3 months of cleanup on the backend. My team and myself were voted VIP status on the project and awarded a nice bonus at the end of the phase of the project. I also coded objects for the peoplesoft code to handle specific scenarios for our company. I also in the years I worked for the company, performed mainframe duties, coding, reporting, troubleshooting, used project managment tools to track create projects for tracking projects to turn over to management, etc. Show less
