• Study of the Borgo Dora (Turin) drainage system. • Software modelling (SWMM) of the system response during normal and extreme rainfall events focusing on the flooding areas. • Evalutation and implementation of the possible structural solutions to improve the drainage system hydraulic performance during different rainfall events. • Evalutation of the interactions between the drainage system and the Dora Riparia river level. To define the drainage areas we used the drainage pipe maps of the city, checking on site the most critical points. All the work has been done in collaboration with SMAT (Società Metropolitana Acque Torino).

Research Assistant Internship

• Study of laminar flows inside Nafion pipes in presence of Exclusion-Zone. • Evalutation of the key hydraulic parameters using Leica microscope and softwares.• Evalutation of the Exclusion-Zone dimensions with different flow rates• Definition of physic relations between the Exclusion-Zone and the following hydraulic parameters: flow, speed, shear stress and Reynolds Number.All the work has been done under the SMAT and Politecnico di Torino researches supervision.
