When I first was hired by Belmond, I started as a Server Assistant also known as a busser/food expeditor. Having had experience as a busser already, I used that to my advantage to excel in that position. I learned about a whole other tier of customer/guest service that includes Leading Quality Assurance & Forbes Standards with regard to luxury service. I sought more challenges and wanted to broaden my skills, so I was promoted to Bartender within 6 months of being hired. Eventually, I was promoted to Bar Supervisor where I started to learn more admin work and people management. -Maintain LQA and Forbes service standards during high volume/stressful shifts -Up-sell guests regularly on wine, liquor and food with excellent product knowledge -Display an engaging atmosphere and showmanship behind the bar while maintaining time efficiency. -Build a strong rapport with guests keep regular repeat business. -Ensure weekly orders are made to keep inventory up to par for business. -Prioritize drink orders and ensure each beverage is sent out in a timely manner based on the sub-department location.
