  My goal at Pedius so far is to give support on the speaker/sound identification field to allow the deaf user to understand what type of sound entity is on the other side of the phone during a call (a human speaker, a pre-recorded voice, a jingle and so on). New technologies on the field of speaker identification and tools of machine learning for classifying of audio data set are used. The ultimate goal is to develop a system of speaker identification and diarisation to detect speaker turn changes, collect each speaker turn together as well as detect jingles, noises and everything not related to speech.   Developed https://kaleido.fbk.eu/ , a web application for helping children with Specific Learning Disability. In particular this tool could help teachers to monitor and evaluate their students by reading an example text. After reading it, the application do a speech-to-text transcription using Kaldi suite and it analyzes all the errors made by the reader focusing in particular on silences and pauses between words. With this tool you can upload different audio files or directly record through your microphone and then send everything to the Kaldi engine. It's possible also to do a simple speech-to-text transcription in a "online" way, like Google one. Show less
