@HouseTrip I was working with Stefan on continuous integration solutions for HouseTrip applications. He is smart, ambitious and passionate about technology what positions him on a straight path towards becoming an excellent developer. Facing problems, he was seeking for deep understanding of underlying reasons. His deliverables were often exceeding expectations. Outside of work Stefan is friendly, amusing and open-minded person full of interesting ideas.

Started out by helping to wrap up our prepaid to full current account migration project. We managed to make it a seamless experience for our customers and painlessly ported over around 300,000 accounts. Re-built the backend for our spending analysis screen from scratch, including fleshing out the requirements and working out the edge cases. This involved working with a lot of unfamiliar microservices within the company in order to build up a summary screen to get an at-a glance view of your monthly finances. Moved on from strictly external facing product to work on our customer service system. The main challenge was balancing both customer and internal staff requirements to come up with solutions that work for everyone. My main focus here initially was cost reduction and we managed to have a large impact by providing more self-serve options for our customers and simplifying the internal tasks workflows that we generated when manual intervention was required. We then switched focus and built out our in-house customer support live chat feature. This also included work on our chat bot and in-chat self service flows. Separately I worked on a backup solution for mass messaging built outside of our platform so that we can message customers in case of a full platform outage. During building out our chat feature we also spun out a team where we overhauled our support task management system to bring in some of the ad-hoc manual workflows into supported flows. It required a lot of collaborating with various stakeholders from data, customer support and management in order to ensure that the flows matched actual requirements and that we'd make as small a disturbance to existing workflows as possible. Throughout most of these projects I was also involved in lots of bugfixes, small and large performance improvements, as well as onboarding and mentoring 5 engineers, and conducting over 200 hiring interviews.
