Sophie Bolzer
Stefan is a mentor that truly made a difference in our startup journey at Audvice. I met him at Web Summit 2019. Back then, as a first-time founder I was a newbie to the whole fundraising process and just started to make valuable connections with investors. I have been learning a lot from Stefan as a person, as an entrepreneur and as an investment manager. He has been taken on every possible role in the fundraising game and therefore brings a unique understanding of its dynamics, rules and players to the table. However instead of preaching me lessons, he has been teaching me well in numerous conversations at eye level. He manages to be a careful listener and storyteller at once and has a real talent in asking the right questions that make you reflect on a given situation and understand all its circumstances. At the same time he proves to be brutally honest, but always in a very constructive and respectful manner, which often gave me the right push at the right time. I got to know Stefan while we were looking for an investment for our company boomerank. During that time, we had the chance to talk to quite a few investors but Stefan was one of the very few who showed a sound understanding of the eCommerce sector as a whole and managed to grasp the challenge we are tackling with boomerank from the beginning.
