I proud to say I've added "Survivor and Heart Health Advocate" to my list of credentials. In March 2010, I underwent successful Open Heart Surgery. After undertaking an intensive 3-month cardiac rehabilitation program, I completely returned to my regular activities... with a new lease on life and a dedication to making heart health my primary philanthropic focus. In 2011, I was named the American Heart Association’s National Volunteer and continue in that role to this day. As such, I utilize my name, voice, time and international media platform to combat and bring awareness of cardio-vascular disease, the nation's number one killer.
