Stan and I worked closely together at Spare on Engage, our paratransit eligibility platform. Stan brings exceptional passion to work. He proactively prioritizes getting to know the customer he is supporting to ensure solutions aren’t just functional, but solving for real needs, while advocating for and taking initiative on producing high-quality code and long-term sustainable solutions. During our time working together, Stan brought significant energy to the team, demonstrating continuous positivity and curiosity. This uplifted everyone around him, encouraged a really collaborative working environment, and led to strong product solutions. Stan also was the lead, and only engineer, on a large new project aimed at adding a new product module for workflow automation, Flow. As a product leader, I had immense trust in Stan’s ability to manage this large-scale project due to his strong communication, commitment to our customers, and demonstrated ability to balance customer and business needs with technical solutions. He crafted a strong foundation during his time here, always bringing a keen eye for how to deliver a short-term, valuable solution while ensuring architecture decisions set up the product for long-term success. Stan delivers results, brings deep passion and advocacy for his customers, and creates immense trust with those that he works with. I can’t wait to solve tough problems together one day in the future!

I had the pleasure of managing Stan at Spare. He is a talented full-stack engineer with genuine curiosity, a passion for doing things the right way, and a solid worth ethic. I would have no hesitation recommending him or working with him again. Stan is a great communicator and a pleasure to interact with. He consistently shows initiative, and often brings forward great ideas and suggestions. In addition to a solid understanding of back-end and front-end development, Stan also has a good awareness of user and product considerations, as well as being able to contribute strategically to key technical and product decisions.
