Leading a team of 12 Java and Kotlin developers.My greatest achievement was rearchitecting the legacy ECM solution which was based on Java EE stack which included IBM WebSphere application server, IBM MQ and IBM FileNet to new microservice architecture based on Spring Boot, OpenShift and Istio service mesh. S3 compatible Ceph object storage is used for document exchange between business units. This allowed me to increase resilience, performance and efficiently of Sberbank’s ECM solution. Some customers are still using legacy software which is continually being improved. Because of this the team was able to increase performance of the system up to 500% which was confirmed by load/stress testing. The system provides a full range of banking services, such as deposits, loans, money transfer, currency exchange, operations with precious metal bars and coins etc. The development of this software was a part of an unprecedented scale project to centralize the bank’s IT systems. As a result, the bank consolidated various technology platform infrastructure at all Regional Banks, centralized the database, and standardized and unified business processes.
