      Between November 2021 and July 2022 Stan Acted in a Senior Operations Officer role. During this time he was one of three Senior Officers leading a project team for the 2022 Intensive Horticulture Compliance Project. This involved training a team of Operations staff and conducting inspections across 28 properties. Stan was part of an Innovation Sprint on 'How to better regulate pesticides' which used a design thinking process to develop a 'Future State' for how the NSW EPA can better regulate pesticides. This included presenting a 'Pitch' to a panel of Executives including the Acting CEO. Stan is an Innovation Coach for Regulatory Operations Regional North with innovation projects in the planning phase. For the past 12 months Stan has been facilitating weekly and now fortnightly technical information session for Operations Staff across the North Coast teams and now the whole Regulatory Operations Regional North team. These sessions have proven popular with staff and have been a great way to build knowledge and internal relationships between operations and EPA's technical and policy teams. Stan worked within the Pacific Highway Upgrade Team ensuring Environment Protection License holders undertaking construction works remain compliant with EPL licence conditions and the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997. During this time Stan worked on numerous complex issues with concepts with other key government agencies such as the Department of Planning and Environment, the Department of Primary Industries – Fisheries and Transport for NSW. Working across a 120km project, and numerous other projects, over 4 + years Stan contributed to and negotiated solutions to complex issues with these key agencies and construction contractors.
