  I work at the Zing Café Bar in the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre, where I manage and motivate the venue staff. During the day my tasks involve, cash handling, stock ordering, task planning and delegating. I also frequently communicate with the other departments within the building, and help complete tasks they may have.I also serve customers either via the cafe (where I am fully trained on the barrister machine); or at the box office where I am fully trained on the spektrix system. During the evening I have to either manage an event happening within the café bar or performance happening in the auditorium or studio spaces. During a café bar evening I have to serve customers quickly and efficiently as it is usually busy on the bar, and make sure we remain stocked up and ready during quieter periods. During a performances I have to professionally communicate with the companies or performers, acquiring show information and helping fulfil any requests they may have. I then have to make sure the show starts at the correct time and that everyone is seated and happy so the performance can start. During this time I will also serve the customers at box office if possible. If not I will delegate the role to a trained venue staff member. This job requires me to handle customer complaints, any customer specific requirements (being from audience members or from the performers), and fulfilling these tasks in a friendly, calm and patient manner.
