  I create a harmonious, collaborative, and safe learning environment while maintaining a consistent and organized classroom. I provide differentiated instruction to meet all learning styles of my students through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic lesson plans and curriculum. My focus is on making my students informed citizens by providing rigorous and relevant content on a daily basis with connections to current events while promoting academic literacy to enhance comprehension and metacognition. My students are involved in generating and establishing the classroom expectations at the beginning of the year for their peers and for me as their teacher. I post weekly agendas at the beginning of each week. All lesson plans include aspects of collaborative learning in small group activities, partner work, and whole class discussions.
