  I'm an Associate Professor of Biology currently teaching courses in anatomy & physiology, animal science/ pre-veterinary, science literacy, science & theology, and bioethics. I consider teaching my primary role and seek to implement evidence-based practices in the design and delivery of all of my courses.I am a discipline-based education researcher and PI of the SOLVE (Study Of Learning thru Voice & Experiences) Lab. My recent publications focus on student learning in undergraduate anatomy & physiology courses. I am happy to discuss potential collaborations with colleagues at other institutions. I also conduct physiology research with undergraduates. Our lab has been awarded SCICU funding for this work consistently since 2017.
