Marketing Lead

Sep 2019 - Present
I report directly to company director, treating divisional team managers (5 individuals) as clients to fulfil their marketing needs. Whether this be through our in-depth recruitment process, or marketing though attractive social media, websites or email marketing campaigns etc. My role is to put White Recruitment on the map, increase brand awareness and traction (monitored through UTM) through our company website for clients, candidates and potential new hires. Pushing clients and candidates through our sales funnel into the direct path of the recruiters, ready for the close. Email marketing campaigns are ran through Keap, Infusionsoft - which enables me to extract very specific data. Using this data to attract the right client, making sure we have the corrected gated content and CTA in place to keep moving them forwards into the path of the recruiter. I generate all copy for marketing materials, website content, blog writing etc. As well as planning all company events, incentives, summer/Christmas parties etc.

Wedding & Event Co-ordinator

Apr 2015 - May 2017
I ran all aspects of Wedding, Events and Christmas, from the first enquiry to delivery on the day. This role was very challenging but extremely rewarding. I needed to have very accurate organisation skills and be able to quickly adapt my personality and approach, depending on the individual. Seeing how pleased organisers were on the day gave me huge job satisfaction. At times the workload was immensely challenging, which meant I struggled to deliver the high-quality standard I naturally set for myself. Fortunately, I worked with supportive and understanding colleagues who were happy for me to delegate some of the tasks to them. It was great to work in such a wonderful team. My successes included more than doubling Christmas covers in my first year from the previous year, and quickly securing repeat business as early as January. Firmly putting our venue on the map. This was extremely challenging, required long hours and hard work. I also worked the Christmas parties because of the great atmosphere!

Food and Beverage Manager

Apr 2015 - May 2017
A very busy and demanding role, physically hard work and long hours especially at peak times. Organisation was key to ensure a smoothly ran department. This included rotas, stock control, health and safety checks, team management, ordering, customer service, senior team meeting and much more. Incredibly rewarding role, the opportunity to meet many new people and work with like minded hard working individuals. Excellent step in the right direction for an operational role. Grew in my skill set as well as my personality, this role helped me mature into a great manager, understanding my team and the business needs - which often contrasted. A particular challenge in this role was struggling with a major personal issue, while setting a good example to me team and keeping to my natural high standard. I worked through my issues, kept home and work totally separate which was physically impossible to do at times, now I look back and I am proud of how well I handled the situation and I wouldn't have done anything differently.

Meeting Event Manager
-
Apr 2015 - May 2017
This was an excellent role, I remember beaming with enthusiasm. My role adapted from event host, to supervisor and by the time my probation came around my role was Meeting and Event Manager. A very quick turn around in just 6 months and something I am particularly proud of. I needed to be the face of the business, ready as my guests arrived - offering them a quick yet detailed tour so they could begin their event. Often there were changes to the itinerary from the moment they arrived so I needed to be ready to communicate that to all the relevant departments. Physically demanding role but highly enjoyable and the career progression and opportunities were paramount. I learnt so much in this role and I have a lot of respect for Holiday Inn as a business.

My first role after leaving university, I was solely in charge of booking and planning events which the operations team would run. This was a difficult role when I was first out of university as I didn't understand the practical processes of events, to better myself I also started working in the waiting staff areas for events - running food, prepping cutlery etc. This was long hours doing my office job then the functions in the evening but it was very important I understood the process.
