Stacey was instrumental for me when I joined UEL. Despite having many year’s experience in the games business, I was totally new to Higher Education. Joining academia was a culture shock for me however she took me under her wing to show me the ropes and help me navigate the institution. I think it’s fair to say that without Stacey’s kindness & encouragement I may not have lasted. She was the best person I could have had to share an office with. Stacey’s deep understanding of design / narrative is coupled with a highly practical games design approach which ensures the students end up with meaningful portfolio pieces. During our time together at UEL I saw her demonstrate the highest standards with regards to teaching, student support and academic integrity. Her deep passion for the subject and the well-being of her students is crystal clear, this is backed up by the many years of experience she has gained from getting students to achieve their very best, many ending up with their chosen careers. I highly recommend Stacey for any senior teaching/leadership role at instructions who care about quality, integrity and supporting viable student destinations.
