Iam Sserunkuma Haruna and iam the director of Grace Child Ministry Uganda from Uganda in East Africa. I was born in 1996, however my father divorced my mother and she got married to another husband. She produced three beautiful step sisters and we happily lived together not until when I and my mother were threw out of the house by my step dad. My mother had acquired HIV together with the sisters of mine. The disease was spreaded by the step dad. We decided to move to my uncle's place but he denied the invite and we were left hanging. unfortunately, my mother died and I was taken back to my step dad's area but I couldn't withstand the torture from my step family. I decided to run to a friend in Jinja city and I had to start a new life with a friend , I was later joined by my step sister who claimed to have been tortured by the step mother, we worked hand in hand even though we were still very young and this was in 2013. Later the same year, we got help from a kind lady upon hearing our stories, she dedicated herself in helping us in every aspect of life. She supported my education upto highschool level and she couldn't provide anymore because she wasn't working and she was elderly. she later died in 2018 and I was left to support and protect my sister. The love, care, kindness and hope she showed to us inspired me and I had a passion to help many homeless and orphaned children in my area. I invited a few homeless children at home because I was working, the number kept on increasing and I got support from the local church , I decided to register my ministry under CBO in 2019. Unfortunately in 2020 covid 19 came in and alit of our plans got distracted, I lost my job and the church was nolonger supporting us anymore. I decided to open up a Facebook pag inorder to seek for support and help from kind people like you, thank you so much and am grateful to have shared my story with you, may the Almighty God bless you abundantly Show less
